We are delighted to announce an opening for a full time Research Coordinator I to join Dr. Hussein Yassine’s research team at the University of Southern California beginning in July 2025

Dr. Yassine seeking a CRC to assist with: Maintaining IRB submissions & continuing reviews, assisting with REDCap build, participant recruitment, presence at community events as needed, management/organization role for studies and his study team. Some Saturday work required once every three months.

Oversight of staff: Ongoing

All other duties listed above will be conducted on an ongoing basis

Responsibilities

The Clinical Research Coordinator will play an integral role in the communications between the Principal Investigator, research participants, and various external and internal representatives.

  • Research tasks (90% time)
    • Maintaining Institutional Review Board protocols
    • Maintenance of regulatory documents
    • Subject recruitment
    • Subject tracking, protocol adherence, research sessions
    • Support in database organization and quality checks
    • Collecting, entering, managing data
  • General Office management tasks (10% time)
    • Ordering supplies
    • Operation and maintaining equipment
    • Organizing materials and resources

The hourly rate range for this position is $31.08 - $34.00 When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.

Preferred Education:  B.A. or B.S. or equivalent

Preferred Experience:  Clinical research

Percentage of Time:  100% full time

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree, Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education
Minimum Experience: 1 year
Minimum Field of Expertise: Administrative or research experience. Working knowledge of MS Office applications. Demonstrated effective communication and writing skills. Ability to multi-task and prioritize. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
