Job Description:
The Research Associate II will be primarily responsible for conducting and documenting experiments, completing technical reports, and providing feedback on results, competitor products, and new technologies. This role collaborates with senior R&D personnel to validate product performance, reliability, and shelf life, and contributes to experimental design and procedure improvements.
This position will be based in our Pomona, CA location in the near future, and will work from our Orange, CA location in the interim.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Under limited supervision, conducts assigned experiments using appropriate equipment, techniques, and protocols. Applies good laboratory practices.

Under the guidance of more senior R&D personnel, carries out experiments that scientifically confirm product performance, reliability, and shelf life.

Contributes to the design of experiments.

Identifies deficiencies and modifies/improves existing procedures.

Records experimental data and observations. Completes calculations according to established procedures.

Maintains accurate records of work.

Prepares standard technical report and summary of results.

Participates and provides feedback in the evaluation of experiment results, ideas, competitor products, and new technologies.

Under general guidance, plans a schedule of research activities according to company’s timetable, and establish daily or weekly routines necessary to meet project timetable.

Develops solutions to problems of moderate complexity.

Applies scientific theory to reach conclusions based on data analysis.

Maintains in-depth knowledge of the company’s new and existing products.

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field
- 3+ years of industrial laboratory experience required
- Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel required
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience in conducting standard chemical or physical testing required.
- Experience in applying good laboratory practices required.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English required.
- Good interpersonal and collaborative skills are required.
- Good organizational and time management skills is required.
- Ability to prioritize is required.

Target Market Salary Range:
Actual compensation packages take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location; skill sets; relevant education and certifications; depth of experience; performance; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed reasonable estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Envista, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401K match, and/or other applicable compensation plans.
