Job Summary
Responsible for working cross-functionally to collect data and develop custom analyses and models that illuminate trends and answer critical business questions utilizing a variety of data sources. Analyzes and summarizes customer, viewing, industry, and/or economic data to develop business intelligence, optimize effectiveness, predict outcomes and make decisions. Conducts audience-focused analyses independently or in collaboration with other technical teams to inform strategy and confidently make recommendations that drive our business forward.
Job Description
Core Responsibilities
  • Works with business stakeholders to understand audience domain data and analysis needs, developing technical requirements and acceptance criteria for short term projects
  • Conducts deep dive analyses on audience, advertiser, or campaign data to understand outcomes, measure effectiveness, and provide proactive recommendations
  • Queries large datasets using SQL and preferably also some knowledge of Python or R as applied for data analysis or statistics.
  • Uses data platforms like AWS, DataBricks, Looker, Tableau, or other self service analytics and reporting tools to complete multi-faceted analyses combining multiple data sources
  • Communicates findings clearly and concisely through narrative-driven presentations and effective data visualizations to Company executives and decisionmakers
  • Identifies key business drivers and insights by conducting exploratory data analysis and hypothesis testing
  • Determines relevancy of data and identifies alternative data sources as needed to ensure analytics requested by business stakeholders can be completed.
  • Promotes and evangelizes a culture of excellence, data driven discussions, healthy skepticism, intellectual curiosity, knowledge sharing, and teamwork.
  • Stays current with emerging trends in analytics, statistics, and audience and applies them to business challenges.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
