This role will need to live near a major airport hub.  The preferred locations are Seattle, Denver, Phoenix, or Dallas. This role requires 2-4 days of travel every week.

Strategic Account Manager – rapid! EWA (Western USA)Job Summary

Green Dot Corporation is seeking a dynamic Strategic Account Manager to drive the growth of rapid! Earned Wage Access (EWA) solutions across the Western USA. This role is pivotal in expanding market share, developing new business relationships, and providing strategic support to existing clients for both rapid! EWA and rapid! PayCard solutions.

As a key player in the rapid! sales organization, you will focus on engaging mid-to-enterprise-level companies, payroll providers, and financial decision-makers to implement on-demand pay solutions that enhance financial wellness and payroll efficiencies. Backed by Green Dot’s innovative fintech ecosystem, you will operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with competitive earning potential.

Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Sales Execution

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on rapid! EWA, positioning the product as the premier on-demand pay solution for businesses in Western USA.

  • Develop and execute a territory-specific sales strategy, focusing on high-impact industries and employer groups with 1000+ employees.

  • Identify, prospect, and cultivate relationships with payroll providers, HR leaders, CFOs, and finance executives to drive adoption of rapid! EWA and PayCard.

  • Conduct solution-based consultative selling, demonstrating how rapid! EWA streamlines payroll processes and enhances employee financial wellness.

  • Leverage industry insights to craft compelling value propositions and ROI-based business cases for potential clients.

  • Expand Green Dot’s strategic partnerships within the payroll, HR, and fintech ecosystems to maximize sales opportunities.

Client & Market Engagement

  • Serve as the face of rapid! EWA at industry events, trade shows, and payroll conferences across the Western USA.

  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline through cold calling, networking, targeted outreach, and referrals.

  • Educate and influence key stakeholders on compliance, implementation best practices, and market differentiators for rapid! solutions.

  • Provide feedback to product and marketing teams based on customer insights and competitive trends.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Green Dot’s legal, implementation, and customer success teams to ensure seamless onboarding and continued client success.

Account Management & Expansion

  • Manage post-sale relationships to drive adoption, retention, and upsell opportunities for rapid! products.

  • Monitor market trends and regulatory changes impacting EWA and payroll disbursements, proactively advising clients on compliance and best practices.

  • Consistently track and report sales progress using Salesforce.com and other internal tools.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years of B2B sales or account management experience, preferably in payroll, HR tech, financial services, or fintech.

  • Proven track record of hunting, prospecting, and closing new business with mid-to-enterprise-level companies.

  • Strong understanding of Earned Wage Access (EWA), on-demand pay, payroll systems, and compliance.

  • Demonstrated ability to navigate and influence C-level and senior HR/finance decision-makers.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial solutions clearly and persuasively.

  • Ability to work independently in a remote role, driving strategic initiatives across a multi-state territory.

  • Experience using Salesforce.com or other CRM tools to manage leads, track sales progress, and forecast pipeline revenue.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary with uncapped commission and bonus structure.

  • Expected first-year earnings: $140,000 - $180,000+, based on performance.

  • Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and stock purchase programs.

  • Remote flexibility with territory-based travel for client meetings, conferences, and industry events.

PAY RANGE

The targeted base salary for this position is $71,800 to $93,400 per year. The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate’s geographical location.
