JOB DESCRIPTION

Director, Business Development

Department: Enterprise Business Development – Admin

Reports to: David Kring, SVP, Business Development

Level: M5 – Director (Management Track)

Position Purpose

The Director, Business Development is responsible for driving partner acquisition, revenue expansion, and execution of strategic deals across Green Dot’s embedded finance, retail, GDN, and money‑movement offerings. This role translates enterprise strategies into actionable commercial plans and leads cross-functional deal execution.

Responsibilities

• Build, manage, and convert a robust pipeline of partnership opportunities.

• Lead end-to-end deal execution, including sourcing, business case creation, modeling, and negotiation.

• Represent BD in internal workstreams and ensure readiness for partner launch.

• Ensure deals support enterprise revenue, margin, and compliance requirements.

• Deliver reporting and insights to SVP-level leadership.

• Build relationships with key external executives and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Business Development or related fields.

• Successful track record closing multi-year commercial partnerships.

• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.

• Experience influencing senior executives and negotiating strategic matters.

• Cross-functional collaboration experience.

PAY RANGE

The targeted base salary for this position is $167,900 to $242,900 per year. The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate’s geographical location.
