This is a phone-heavy role, and cold calling will be a core part of your day. You’ll be expected to confidently complete 80+ cold calls per day, engage decision-makers, qualify opportunities, overcome objections, and book high-quality meetings for the sales team.

If you have strong outbound sales experience, are comfortable spending a significant portion of your day on the phone, and know how to turn cold conversations into qualified opportunities, we want to hear from you.

Experience conducting client-facing sales demos or product demonstrations is a strong bonus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Make 80+ outbound cold calls every day to prospective customers.
  • Prospect and engage potential clients through phone, email, LinkedIn, and other outbound channels.
  • Identify and qualify decision-makers based on defined target customer criteria.
  • Generate qualified sales opportunities and consistently book meetings for the sales team.
  • Confidently handle objections, gatekeepers, and cold prospects.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the company's offering and communicate its value clearly.
  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand prospects' needs, challenges, and buying potential.
  • Maintain accurate prospecting activity, notes, follow-ups, and pipeline data within the CRM.
  • Consistently work toward individual and team KPIs, including call volume, conversations, meetings booked, and qualified opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with Account Executives and other sales team members to improve messaging and conversion rates.
  • Where applicable, support or conduct client-facing product demos and sales presentations.

Requirements
  • 3–4+ years of experience in Business Development, Sales Development, outbound sales, or a similar B2B sales role.
  • Proven high-volume cold-calling experience is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently complete 80+ outbound calls per day.
  • Strong telephone presence with excellent verbal communication and active listening skills.
  • Proven experience generating leads and booking qualified sales meetings.
  • Strong objection-handling, qualification, and follow-up skills.
  • Comfortable working toward ambitious activity and performance targets.
  • Experience using CRM and sales prospecting tools.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, resilient, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
  • Experience conducting sales demos or client-facing product demonstrations is a bonus.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
