We are seeking a Release Analyst to join our Release Management team. This role will work closely with the Senior Release Manager to coordinate and improve our enterprise release processes and automation for cloud deployments, including infrastructure, services, APIs, and data.

The Release Analyst will play a key role in managing sprint deployments and hotfixes, ensuring smooth and timely releases across multiple agile development teams. This position also serves as a backup to the Senior Release Manager when needed.

Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and communicate release schedules, status updates, and deployment details with stakeholders.
  • Track release deliverables across multiple development teams to ensure readiness and successful deployment.
  • Collaborate with QA and UAT leads to identify and prioritize potential blockers.
  • Prepare and distribute release notes and documentation.
  • Collect and report on release metrics to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Facilitate go/no-go decisions by coordinating risk assessments and stakeholder approvals.
  • Partner with CI/CD pipeline developers to ensure pipelines are updated and optimized.
  • Work with development leads and product owners to build and maintain sprint-based release plans.
  • Organize and support production deployment activities, including after-hours releases.
  • Maintain and improve processes for system deployments and hotfixes, including rollback/roll-forward procedures.
  • Manage the assignment and status of cloud deployment environments (Dev, QA, UAT, Production).

Qualifications

Required Education and Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in release management, project coordination, or a similar role.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.
  • Experience working on large-scale software development projects across multiple agile teams.
  • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and project management principles.
  • Ability to work full-time remotely from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Eastern Time.
  • Willingness to participate in after-hours deployments.
  • Ability to travel to our Pennsylvania office 1–2 times per year.

Preferred Knowledge and Experience:

  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps (Boards, Repos, Pipelines).
  • Experience with deployment approvals, runbooks, and implementation planning.
  • Basic understanding of Azure cloud services and infrastructure.
  • Awareness of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.

In accordance with pay transparency laws and regulations, the following good faith compensation range estimate is being provided.  The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000 per year.  Final compensation will be based on candidate qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations permitted by law.
