We’re actively seeking a talented Relationship Marketing Manager to join our Marketing Strategy Team in Newport Beach, CA or Omaha, NE.
• This role is hybrid. We believe in empowering our employees to get work done both in and out of the office.

As a Marketing Relationship Manager, you will fill an existing role on the Marketing Strategy Team as part of Pacific Life’s Consumer Markets Division (CMD). You will play a key role in the division’s growth and long-term success through leading crucial conversations and developing the strategy and implementing marketing campaigns that support our stakeholders. You will be the main point of contact within marketing for our Sales and Strategic Accounts teams. The role will focus on partnering with our internal teams to understand our top relationships so that we can provide targeted messaging, product positioning and education tailored to the firm, helping us to grow the relationship and achieve sales goals. Your colleagues will include Product Marketing Strategists, Relationship Managers, Value-Add Strategists, and fellow Marketing professionals. You will be partnering with many functional areas within the Consumer Markets Division to ensure the successful delivery of the marketing campaigns and strategic initiatives.

 
How you will make an impact:

  • Responsible for brand-level market analysis and brand management, including product direction, advertising, pricing, expense budgets, profit plans and future product development throughout the product or product category's life cycle.

  • Manages marketing materials to establish product branding and messaging. Initiates spending, pricing, product, media, promotion, and copy strategies.

  • Develops and implements product education, publication and other promotional activities to communicate product positioning and lifecycle development of products to customers.

  • Applies consumer insight and market research to determine new marketing and product opportunities.

  • May work in partnership with cross-functional teams including market research, production, sales, finance, actuarial and advertising in linking the brand to efforts by other departments or units within the organization. 

  • ​Help drive sales at in assigned key relationships by collaborating with our Annuity Wholesaling Team, Strategic Accounts, Digital Experience and Marketing Communications and your colleagues within Marketing to create and oversee the distribution of product positioning assets, sales support materials, printed and electronic communications, campaigns, presentations, firm-specific web content, and other support required.

  • Work with Strategic Accounts to execute firm specific campaigns and promotional opportunities and determine how we can help educate internal teams and support their marketing efforts.

  • Work with Analytics and other departments to gather sales figures and report metrics on sales or campaigns attributable to marketing efforts in focus firms.

  • Be the point of contact for the Sales organization and represent marketing with our Wholesaler Advisory Group, creating sales ideas and marketing campaigns that align with Sales’ positioning and focus.

  • Travel periodically to with the Sales team and with the Strategic Account field directors to meet with financial professionals and broker dealers to gain deeper knowledge of the sales process to better support their business and marketing needs.

  • Socialize the efforts and resources of our marketing department with our sales and Strategic Accounts teams so that they can utilize each effectively.

The experience you bring:

  • 4 year degree or equivalent work experience preferred

  • 5+ years marketing, relationship management, and or sales experience in financial services. Annuities experience preferred, life insurance knowledge a plus.

  • Development of integrated strategic marketing plans focused on creating awareness, engagement, and demand with clients.

  • Familiarity with marketing technologies, such as CRM software (Salesforce preferred), sales enablement tools, marketing automation platform (Salesforce Marketing Cloud preferred), social media management, and analytics platforms.

  • Effective communication, detail-orientation, and time management skills are necessary for managing concurrent projects with overlapping deadlines.

  • Flexibility and adaptability as priorities change.

  • Collaboration and leadership skills to foster relationships and work with cross-functional teams.

  • Relationship marketing experience within financial services, especially with annuities.

  • Worked in a data-driven culture with experience measuring tactics and channel impacts.

  • Experience communicating marketing/business requirements as well as technical requirements to clearly articulate goals, requirements.

  • Ability to address intricate problem through data-driven decision-making.

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$110,700.00 - $135,300.00
