What's the opportunity? 

As a member of Intercom’s Key Sales Team, you will be leading the growth of our existing business. At Intercom, we are striving to do sales differently. As a Relationship Manager, Key Accounts at Intercom, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving innovation and deepening partnerships with our premier clients. Intercom is a high-growth, product-first company that thrives on speed and innovation—we shipped 183 updates last year alone. With cutting-edge features and new products launching regularly, you’ll have unique opportunities to strengthen client relationships by offering tailored solutions. This role operates at the intersection of strategy, technology, and collaboration, requiring executive presence, cross-functional teamwork, and a passion for tackling complex challenges in a competitive environment.

What will I be doing? 
  • Develop strategic territory plans outlining opportunities for upsell, cross-sell, and expansion to new business units and achieve business goals.
  • Work with current customers to understand their business pains and provide solutions based on our solutions to effectively alleviate them.
  • Strong financial and business acumen with a high degree of comfort engaging with technical leaders internally and externally.
  • Ability to think and work creatively to develop unique joint value propositions and product strategy within Intercom
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into the essential points needed to inform and influence executive decision making. 
  • Superior relationship building and exceptional consultative sales skills with a passion and hunger to win.
  • Develop advanced knowledge of your customers' businesses and goals while accurately forecasting sales pipeline.
  • Build relationships with Intercom’s largest customers ensuring revenue growth and customer retention.
  • Carry a team lead mentally and engage in team development and mentoring.
What skills do I need? 
  • 8+ years experience in a closing B2B sales role, including managing existing accounts.
  • 5+ years of SaaS experience strategic selling in the MME segment.
  • Strong sales instincts and track of record hitting and exceeding quota.
  • Exhibits a growth mindset, intellectual curiosity, and ambition.
  • Ability to build and maintain deep client relationships across levels in complex organizations.
  • Comfortable and energized operating and problem-solving in a fast-moving organization.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communicator.
  • Demonstrable history of leadership, with both immediate and cross-functional teammates.

*Proof of eligibility to work in the United States is required.

The OTE salary range for candidates within the San Francisco Bay Area is $298,960 - $347,440. Actual base pay will depend on a variety of factors such as education, skills, experience, location, etc. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All regular employees may also be eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
