What We Do

RELEX Solutions is a global, AI-native planning software company that helps retailers, wholesalers, manufacturers, and consumer goods brands forecast demand, optimize inventory, and reduce waste.

By combining built-in AI and agentic AI with deep retail and supply chain expertise, RELEX drives smarter decisions, higher product availability, increased sales, improved sustainability, and profitable growth at scale.

We partner collaboratively and innovatively with our customers and leverage our world-class expertise to vastly improve forecast accuracy, optimize inventory, pricing, merchandising, and production, and plan seamlessly end-to-end, from production to shelf.

The Role

As Regional Vice President, Retail East, you will own RELEX's growth across a major region of the USA & Canadian retail/wholesale/distribution markets. You will lead a distributed team of enterprise sellers, set the regional strategy, and build executive-level relationships with retailers who are rethinking how they plan in an AI-driven market.

You will partner closely with BDR's, presales, alliances, customer success, and sales operations to turn our retail expertise and AI-enabled planning solutions into measurable business outcomes for customers. This is a hands-on leadership role: you will coach your team, join key deals, and shape how RELEX sells in the East Region of North America.

What You'll Do
  • Set and execute the regional sales strategy for the East, balancing new business, account hunting, account management, and farming of existing customers.
  • Lead, coach, and grow a high-performing, distributed team of enterprise sellers, building an inclusive culture where diverse perspectives improve how we win.
  • Build and sustain C-level relationships at large US retailers/wholesalers/distributors, positioning RELEX as a long-term strategic partner for AI-powered planning.
  • Guide the team in value selling: building business cases, quantifying ROI, and connecting AI-driven forecasting and optimization to customer outcomes such as availability, margin, waste reduction, and productivity.
  • Help customers separate real, practical AI value from hype, speaking credibly about how machine learning, automation, and human planners work together, including data quality, transparency, governance, and responsible-use questions.
  • Use AI and analytics tools to sharpen account planning, pipeline inspection, forecast accuracy and sales coaching, and encourage the team to adopt them in their daily work.
  • Work as one team with BRD's, presales, alliances, marketing, customer success, and sales operations to create the best outcomes for customers and the company.
  • Keep Salesforce data accurate and use it to deliver reliable forecasts, pipeline reviews, and regional reporting.
  • Represent RELEX in the market through customer events, industry forums, and partner relationships.
What You'll Bring
  • 10+ years of proven solution-selling experience in enterprise software, and 5+ years leading enterprise software sales teams.
  • A track record of selling into USA and Canadian retail/wholesale/distributors accounts and leading distributed teams across a multi-state territory.
  • Demonstrated success in sales strategy and business growth through new business, account hunting, account management, and farming.
  • A value-selling mindset and hands-on experience with value-selling tools, including business cases and ROI models.
  • AI fluency: you can explain, at a business level, how AI and machine learning improve forecasting, replenishment, pricing, and workforce planning, and you can discuss data readiness, change management, and responsible-AI considerations with senior retail/wholesale/distributor executives. You do not need to be a data scientist, but you must be curious and keep learning, and partner / leverage our tech savvy industry and field strategists with customers.
  • Comfort using AI-enabled sales tools, such as conversation intelligence, account research, and pipeline analytics, to improve your own and your team's performance.
  • A collaborative, open-minded, down-to-earth leadership style, with a record of working effectively with BDRs, presales, alliances, and sales operations.
  • A genuine commitment to customer success: you build and maintain positive, long-term, win-win client relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, shown in customer interactions, proposals, internal updates, and Salesforce-based reporting and forecasting.
Must Have Industry Experience
  • Experience selling AI, machine learning or advanced analytics solutions, or planning and supply chain software, to retailers/wholesalers/distributors.
  • Familiarity with retail planning domains such as demand forecasting, replenishment, merchandising, pricing and workforce management.
  • Experience building and mentoring diverse sales teams and developing future sales leaders.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
