Summary:
The Regional Senior Vice President, Financial Services oversees all aspects of financial services business for a specific region, driving strategic growth and cultivating high-performing teams. This role is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive business plan, ensuring exceptional client service delivery and for driving new organic and inorganic business. This role is responsible for the rollup of all Financial Services P&Ls within the region and is accountable for achieving growth (sales and retention) and financial (revenue, EBITDA, margin) plans. The position requires proactive collaboration with Retirement, Wealth and Executive Benefits Practice Leaders, the Regional President and Regional Finance Leaders to ensure financial growth and success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes but is not limited to):
Strategic Leadership
- Direct accountability to the President, OneDigital Financial Services and matrixed accountability to the Regional President for both growth and operational efficiency goals.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive growth strategy for teams in region, aligning it with OneDigital's overall business objectives. Identify and seize new market opportunities, expanding OneDigital's reach and market share across all Financial Services business lines.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the region, proactively seeking ways to enhance service offerings and unlock superior client value.
- Lead by example, setting the tone for a collaborative, results-oriented, and client-centric work environment.
- Oversee the development and implementation of effective sales strategies and initiatives, ensuring achievement of office, market and regional goals.
- Represent OneDigital at industry events and conferences, establishing a strong brand presence and building strategic relationships. Position OneDigital as the go-to partner for financial services solutions across retirement, wealth management and executive benefits.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key industry partners and Centers of Influence (COIs), fostering mutually beneficial collaborations that unlock new business opportunities.
- Act as a subject matter expert on all aspects of the financial services industry for regional leaders.
- Understand the necessary business lines to complete markets with OneDigital’s full suite of services. Lead regional efforts to identify and recruit prospective financial services firms.
People Leadership
- Manage office and market level leaders, fostering a culture of excellence and professional development. Equip them with the tools and strategies to exceed client expectations and drive revenue growth.
- Plan and support local efforts to recruit, hire, and onboard top talent, building a diverse and experienced team capable of solving complex client challenges in the financial services landscape.
- Establish clear performance metrics and conduct regular performance reviews, implementing strategies for continuous improvement.
- Partner with Business Line, local market leader and RMP to ensure successful integration and assimilation of new Financial Services practices into the region.
Financial Management and Oversight
- Serve as the #1 driver and accountable party for ensuring Financial Services’ growth and financial goals are met within the region.
- Responsible for the roll-up of all Financial Services P&Ls within the region, ensuring profitability and meeting financial targets for both growth (sales, retention) and financial (revenue, EBITDA, margin) plans.
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue generation and optimize operational efficiency, ensuring a healthy return on investment.
- Provide insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making on financial reporting to senior management.
Industry Leadership and Client Relationships
- Collaborate with other verticals within OneDigital to maximize client value through convergence conversations and seamless service delivery processes.
- Manage client segmentation and coordinate with relationship owners to identify and pursue cross-sale opportunities.
- Oversee and personally manage at-risk or key accounts.
- Organize and participate in local marketing events.
- Ensure advisors are fully integrated into a holistic market model.
Qualifications, Skills and Requirements:
- Proven track record of successfully leading and growing a large sales team in the financial services space, with a focus on exceeding sales goals.
- Strong financial acumen and experience with P&L management.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing successful business strategies for financial services organizations.
- Strong understanding of fiduciary best practices, including ERISA regulations, and current industry trends.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, inspire, and coach a diverse team.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
- Proven strategic thinking and business acumen, with a focus on driving profitability and shareholder value.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated discipline utilizing a CRM as a comprehensive business tool, Salesforce preferred.
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business and technology environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%.
Education, Training and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field or relevant industry experience required. Masters preferred.
- Must possess a valid relevant securities license.
- 15+ years of experience in the financial services industry, with a minimum of 10+ years in a senior leadership role.
- Must be licensed to allow registration as an IAR of OneDigital Investment Advisors
The typical base pay range for this role nationwide is $200,000 to $240,000 per year.
Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company’s performance. We also offer eligible employees health, wellbeing, retirement, and other financial benefits, paid time off, overtime pay for non-exempt employees, and robust learning and development programs.
