The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) position will have full sales responsibility and accountability for our customers within the Life Sciences Division of DuPont Healthcare Solutions, promoting fluid management tubing, flexible packaging and biopharma tubing & over molded assemblies in the Western United States region. The objectives will be focused on achieving profitable revenue growth through fostering a culture of customer centricity, a bias for action, a sense of urgency and concise accountability. The RSM will focus on building a solid pipeline of new opportunities and successfully closing them. The primary focus will be customer centricity, revenue growth including market share gain, and building strong partnerships with the key customers.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Upholds DuPont Healthcare Solutions vision and core values
  • Deliver year-over-year profitable organic growth for the assigned accounts
  • Target and develop new accounts in by identifying, presenting capabilities, and fostering long term win-win relationships with key stakeholders at the customers organization including supply chain, engineering, quality etc.,
  • Responsible for generating and collaborating cross-selling opportunities across the portfolio offerings of DuPont Healthcare Solutions.
  • Effectively utilize Salesforce, a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool to enter and track opportunities through the stages. Ensure prompt follow-up and execution from lead to opportunity. Receive adequate information from the customer to quantify and qualify the opportunities to develop a valid business case.
  • Responsible for providing accurate budgeting and forecasting for assigned accounts, utilizing accounts supplied information as well as external market knowledge.
  • Serve as the global customer focal point of communication while supporting manufacturing site transfers to the region
  • Conduct regular territory reviews for the management team informing progress of key metrics
  • Support, deliver and implement DuPont Healthcare Solutions’ go to market strategy for the defined selling assignment which includes establishing and maintaining a strong working relationship with the various manufacturing sites during the entire selling process.
  • Provide leadership and act as a liaison between SPG-DuPont and assigned accounts on all significant sustaining programs, corrective actions, and supply chain opportunities.
  • Responsible for negotiating and maintaining any active contracts or agreements with assigned accounts, as well as ensuring all parties remain in compliance.
  • Responsible for identifying potential new technologies that could enhance the SPG-DuPont offerings at assigned accounts and communicating needs to the management team
  • Attend and participate in trade show activities to network and generate new business opportunities.
  • Provide and present market and customer intelligence to the SPG-DuPont management team
  • Ability to comprehend and comply with company safety standards.
  • All other duties, as assigned.

 

Work closely with:

  • Plant leadership teams to develop potential new product offerings
  • All associates within the expanded SPG sales and marketing teams to reinforce a ONE SPG-DuPont Team selling environment
  • Program management, customer service and engineering teams as required throughout the entire quoting process 
  • Provide professional leadership skills that will consistently support and deliver SPG core values
  • Support the Annual Business and Strategic Planning Process which includes both written and verbal presentation
  • Participate and support key industry organizations and functions to promote the mission, value statements and objectives as outlined in the annual business plan.
Qualifications

Competencies/Skills

  • BS Degree, with major or emphasis in Engineering or Science
  • Three to five years of new business development, or account management experience in the medical industry with a focus on fluid mgmt. extruded tubing, and flexible packaging. Biopharma industry experience a plus.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • Demonstrate creative problem-solving skills and the ability to influence internal and external customers.
  • Strong organizational skills supported by a self-disciplined operating structure.
  • Superior time management/prioritization skills
  • Self-starter that takes initiative and is action oriented.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to share your findings, observations, and opportunities with a wide audience.
  • Computer Skills to include, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Salesforce, and other business and database programs
  • Strong business analytical skills

  • Possess the vision and leadership skill sets that will successfully drive change and position SPG-DuPont as the lead supplier in the customers supply chain.
