Regional Sales Manager - Northeast Region (Remote)

Lunar Energy is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to grow battery sales into the residential installer sales channel. This role will report to the Regional Sales Director and will be responsible for growing Lunar market share within an assigned region, across the full account lifecycle from targeting and prospecting to piloting and scaling channel partners. You will be entrepreneurial, love delivering product growth as part of a team, be comfortable communicating technical products in a simple to understand and value oriented way, be a wonderful ambassador for the brand, and above all understand and anticipate the needs of your installer accounts and the wider market.

On a given day at Lunar, you’ll likely…

  • Execute Lunar's go-to-market strategy across a wide range of channel partners with the goal of developing a committed portfolio of residential solar and storage installers who learn to rely on Lunar’s hardware and software products and Lunar teams for the growth of their business.
  • Prioritize and drive growth in key markets across the assigned Northeast territory, aligning sales strategy with regional demand, policy, and installer density.
  • Identify, recruit, onboard, and scale new channel partners, building a high-performing portfolio of residential solar and storage installers.
  • Develop and execute structured onboarding and enablement plans to accelerate time-to-productivity and long-term partner success.
  • Initiate and manage the end-to-end sales process, from targeting, prospecting, through piloting, ramping and scaling their business with Lunar. 
  • Perform regular in-the-field sales training with channel and distribution partners. 
  • Focus on growth in market share and partner share of account utilizing value-based selling techniques. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to identify, communicate, and capitalize on local programs, incentives, and market opportunities.
  • Leverage regional insights to inform go-to-market strategy and ensure alignment with evolving state-level policies and utility programs.

Desired Skills:

  • Deep knowledge and experience in the assigned region.
  • Strong knowledge of battery products, and the battery competitive landscape.
  • Experience working with solar installers, contractors, EPCs.
  • Some understanding of the grid services markets, wholesale markets, or distributed energy resource management solutions will be helpful but not essential.
  • Experience and understanding of distribution companies, and working with distribution teams will be highly desirable.
  • Experience in initiating and closing complex solution sales with the potential for expanding those solutions with additional hardware, software and services. 
  • Experience building a pipeline and delivering deals against targets.
  • Effective communicator, able to convey complex products and services to a broad audience.
  • Ability and willingness to keep tight and complete records in CRM.
