Your Key Responsibilities
Lead from the Front: Coach, inspire, and build a high-performing team while actively driving key deals yourself.
Shape our Market: Design and execute regional strategy, leveraging your academic publishing experience and industry network to expand our reach.
Strategic Sales: Personally manage and negotiate major B2B and consortia agreements—opening doors with medium and large institutions across North America.
Collaborate & Advocate: Work closely with senior global stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver on ambitious goals.
Drive Change: Operate in a culture of transformation—bringing fresh ideas, accountability, and adaptability to everything you do.
What We’re Looking For
Academic publishing pro: Well-connected in the world of universities, consortia, and research libraries
Sales leader: 5+ years in complex B2B sales, ideally in scholarly publishing, ed tech, or research services, with a record of closing large, complex deals and managing a team
Deal maker: Proven expertise negotiating at director/provost/C-level and leading large agreements
Team builder: Demonstrated ability to recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing employees
Strategic mindset: Skilled in market analysis, solution selling, and driving change in evolving environments
Relationship builder: Excellent communicator, comfortable presenting at industry events and engaging with diverse stakeholders
Tech savvy: Proficient in Salesforce (or HubSpot); track record utilizing sales technology for data-driven planning
Willingness to travel across the US and Canada; flexibility for European hours as needed
