What it is:

The Regional Sales Director of Employer Sales at 9amHealth is a strategic and versatile role focused on driving new business by selling digital health solutions to large national employers and employer benefits consultants. Drive commercial sales by cultivating partnerships with benefits leaders, consultants, health plans, and PBMs, while developing scalable strategies to accelerate employer adoption. By expanding 9amHealth’s presence in the employer benefits space, this role ensures broader access to our innovative virtual cardiometabolic care offerings. The position reports directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, contributing significantly to the company’s growth and market impact.

This position will support the Western regions of the U.S., making it ideal for candidates located in the Pacific Time Zone (PT) or Central Time Zone (CT).

What you’ll do:
  • Utilize past experiences, relationships, and market knowledge to drive new business with large national employers and employer benefits consultants

  • Lead end-to-end commercial sales opportunities from sourcing to managing the pipeline to closing deals

  • Identify new market opportunities and drive execution

  • Build key relationships with market partners such as health plans and PBMs

What you’ll need:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas in the digital health or employer benefits space.

  • Established relationships with key decision makers in the employer benefits and/or healthcare consulting industries.

  • Deep understanding of employer benefits ecosystems, including the decision-making processes within large employers and benefits consulting firms.

  • Ready to establish and refine a launch strategy for adoption within employers, while working independently to execute

  • Strong leadership abilities and entrepreneurial spirit

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in negotiating complex contracts, particularly with large employers and enterprise level accounts.

  • Previous experience working in a fast paced, high growth environment, with comfort navigating ambiguity.

Our working model is flexible for certain positions, with some employees working remotely and others based in the office. However, we prefer candidates who can be based in our San Diego office.
