About the Position...

The Regional President - Los Angeles Market is responsible for leading all commercial banking activities within the State of California, including the origination, management, and growth of commercial real estate (CRE) and commercial & industrial (C&I) loan portfolios, as well as full-relationship deposit and cash management business development. This position serves as the senior-most banking executive in the Los Angeles market and is accountable for market leadership, revenue generation, credit quality, team development, and community presence. The Regional President will drive the bank's growth strategy in Los Angeles by building a high-performing team of relationship managers, cultivating deep client relationships, and positioning the bank as the preferred commercial banking partner for businesses across the state. This role operates with significant autonomy and is expected to represent the bank with the highest levels of professionalism, integrity, and market expertise.

About You...
You are a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit who thrives in a team environment. You also have the following:

Education & Certification(s) Required:     

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Real Estate, or a related field preferred. 
  • Equivalent combination of education and directly relevant commercial banking experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Graduate degree (MBA or equivalent) and completion of a formal bank credit training program a plus.

Required Knowledge: 

  • Deep knowledge of commercial real estate lending, including construction, stabilized, and transitional asset financing across office, retail, industrial, multifamily, and hospitality property types.
  • Strong expertise in C&I lending structures, including revolving credit facilities, term debt, asset-based lending, and cash flow underwriting.
  • Thorough knowledge of commercial deposit products, cash management solutions, and relationship profitability modeling.
  • Familiarity with Los Angeles commercial real estate markets, regional business economy, and key industry sectors.
  • Working knowledge of applicable banking regulations including BSA/AML, CRA, fair lending, and Reg O.

Experience Required: 

  • Minimum of 12-15 years of progressive commercial banking experience, with significant exposure to both CRE and C&I lending.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a senior relationship management or market leadership role with demonstrated production results and team management responsibility.
  • Established network of commercial banking relationships, referral sources, and centers of influence in the Los Angeles market strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record of building and leading high-performing commercial banking teams and growing market share in a competitive environment.

  • Strong credit acumen and ability to structure complex commercial transactions.
  • Proven leadership ability with experience recruiting, developing, and retaining top commercial banking talent.
  • Strategic market thinking with the operational discipline to execute against a business plan.
  • High integrity, sound judgment, and the ability to represent the bank at the highest levels.
  • Proficiency with commercial banking platforms, CRM systems, and standard business technology.
