The Regional Manager of Sales – Southwest is responsible for leading Kandu, Inc.’s sales strategy, performance, and market expansion across the Southwestern United States. This role oversees a network of 1099 independent sales representatives, providing coaching, structure, and strategic direction to meet revenue targets while building strong customer and distributor relationships.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on, data-driven sales leader with a strong track record of developing independent rep networks and growing regional revenue.
What You’ll Do:
Sales Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and execute regional sales plans aligned with company objectives and national strategy.
- Manage, support, and optimize performance of 1099 independent sales representatives across multiple states.
- Set clear KPIs, monitor pipeline activity, and ensure achievement of quarterly and annual revenue goals.
- Identify new market opportunities and lead initiatives to expand Kandu’s presence within the region.
Rep Network Management
- Recruit, onboard, and train new 1099 sales reps as needed.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, field visits, and coaching sessions to enhance rep productivity.
- Provide reps with the tools, messaging, and product knowledge necessary to represent Kandu effectively.
- Maintain strong relationships with rep agencies, ensuring alignment with brand standards and sales strategy.
Customer & Channel Engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with key accounts, distributors, and strategic partners in the region.
- Support reps in closing major opportunities, attending customer meetings, and delivering presentations.
- Represent the region at trade shows, industry events, and internal sales meetings.
Reporting & Operations
- Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts, market insights, and competitive intelligence.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and operations teams to support regional needs and resolve customer issues.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, sales processes, and contractual obligations.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
- 7+ years of sales experience, including at least 3 years in a regional or multi-state leadership role.
- PT/OT background preferred, but not required
- Proven experience managing 1099 independent sales rep networks.
- Strong understanding of the Southwest U.S. market landscape.
- Exceptional communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to analyze data, create forecasts, and drive strategic decisions.
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and comfortable working remotely.
- Ability to travel 40–60% of the time within the region.
