Golden State Dermatology is a physician-led and owned dermatology group rapidly expanding across California, with over 45 locations. We are a leading medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology group specializing in skin, hair, and nail conditions, Mohs micrographic surgery for the treatment of skin cancer, surgical and non-surgical cosmetic skincare, anti-aging, body contouring, and plastic surgery.

 

The Regional Director oversees operations across multiple practice locations in the Los Angeles region. This leadership role is ideal for a dynamic healthcare operations professional with a passion for driving clinical excellence, team development, and organizational growth.

 

Essential duties may include but not be limited to: 

  • Accountable for the administrative leadership of assigned areas and champions company wide operational initiatives.
  • Directs daily operations of clinics by translating business vision and strategy into clear operational goals, objectives, workflows, and implementation plans.
  • Works closely with the Senior Leadership Team, the Physician Leads, and Office Managers.
  • Responsible for efficiently and profitably delivering high-quality care with the expectation of growing care and margin year after year.
  • Coaches, mentors, and motivates direct reports and the management team to achieve the goals of the organization.
  • Demonstrates leadership by practicing and promoting leader standard work; champions new ideas that contribute to clinical and organizational excellence; holds staff accountable for meeting goals, objectives, and other assigned commitments.
  • Acts as liaison between the operational team and providers.
  • Ensures staff are informed on department issues, facility issues, and company news and updates.
  • Encourages free flow of ideas, information, and dialogue.
  • Communicates the “why” of change and helps others find meaning; enables engagement and empowerment of staff.
  • Develops standardized, centralized infrastructure and data-driven standard operations as appropriate.
  • Ensures appropriate linkages between operations, clinical outcomes, and customer service to patients and referring physicians.
  • Monitors and analyses the performance of staff and departments.
  • Utilizes daily management system to establish key measurements for each department; sets standards and develops goals to continuously meet or exceed standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in clinical office operations in a management role. Preference will be given to those with Dermatology experience
  • Strong quantitative skills; in budgeting, financials, and making management decisions by metrics
  • Comfortable in a dynamic, high growth environment
  • Ability to execute to improve performance
  • Collaborative with the ability to work well with people from all areas of the organization
  • College degree preferred
  • Ability to travel between locations weekly basis; this role is primarily in the clinics.
