Job Description

Responsible for the execution of regional plans for maintaining and executing a previously agreed upon budget for all sales and marketing expenses. Responsible and directly accountable for the management of up to 10 (ten) Critical Care Business Managers (CCBM), each of which is responsible for driving results within their target accounts and territories. Responsible for assisting the CCBM in the development and execution of corporate and territory specific strategies, creation of individual MBOs, the management of operations, promotional budgets within approved limits, implementing and adhering to all corporate policies and procedures and ultimately for driving results for all promoted products. The RBD serves as a coach and resource to the CCBMs on their team.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and coach to agreed upon MBOs with their entire team that are aligned and consistent with corporate objectives.
  • Develop and execute regional and territory business plans that result in achievement of committed business results including targeting customer identification and prioritization, competitive analysis and positioning and coordination of resources to execute plans.
  • Develop and maintain a high performing team with high priority on filling vacancies and selection of top talent. Also removing low performers and assuring all CCBM’s have well understood performance goals and objectives.
  • Evaluate appropriate use of regional resources. Develop and monitor performance against regional budget. Assure compliance with administrative policies and established procedures maintaining fiscal responsibility throughout the region.
  • Adhere and support company policies and procedures including comprehensive compliance programs and pharmaceutical marketing acts. Communicate and enforce company position vigorously and consistently across regions.

Education: Bachelor’s degree; MBA preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a pharmaceutical/healthcare sales environment, with 2 years of management experience preferred. Diverse hospital, specialty pharmaceutical and critical care preferred. Proven track record with demonstrated examples of leadership.

Special Skills: Solid understanding of clinical mechanisms and science behind product/device line; demonstrated results selling in the hospital environment; strong communications, presentation, coaching, sales, marketing, business planning, and negotiations and networking; established record of sales excellence and key stakeholder influencing.

Certifications/Licenses: Valid Driver’s License required.

The expected base pay range for this position is $138K - $198K. Please note that base pay offered may vary depending on factors including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

This position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable program. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion.
