Compensation

The compensation target range for this role is:

$110,500 - $130,000

Job Summary

The Regional Account Manager is responsible for overseeing regional accounts with medium volume purchase potential. They accomplish this by focusing on developing, maintaining, and improving partner relationships, managing margins, and maximizing the product assortment and sell through. They travel to stores to see how the product is displayed and sold, partnering with the field sales rep for follow up training as needed.
Regional Account Managers will meet with account buyers, merchants, and executives to discuss their needs and how Purple can grow their business.

Job Description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Act as representative for Purple and its range of products when dealing with wholesale customers 

  • Take charge of various aspects concerning the assigned customer base, including sales, profitability, expenses, marketing, and merchandising 

  • Foster strong, mutually beneficial relationships with key decision-makers within each client company and collaborate effectively with internal cross-functional teams 

  • Formulate strategic plans, both short-term and long-term, to attain predetermined sales objectives 

  • Collaborate with customers and Purple's Market Development Team to execute training programs effectively 

  • Ensure customers' needs and expectations are fulfilled while upholding Purple's brand guidelines and policies 

  • Regularly assess customers' sales performance, devise strategies to maintain successes, and address risk 

  • Keep management informed about customers' strategic plans and progress towards their goals 

  • Fulfill any other responsibilities as delegated 

  

  

Required Skills, Education, Experience: 

  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business related field or 3+ years equivalent experience in Sales Management  

  • Computer and Software expertise (Salesforce, Outlook, Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint)   

  • This position requires extensive travel 

  • Legal contract and negotiation skills   

  • Dynamic presentation skills

  • Remaining in stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods of time.  

  • Adjusting or moving objects up to 15 pounds in all directions.

  • Communicating with others to exchange information. 

  • Repetitive motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. 

  • Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of work assigned.
