We are on the lookout for a proficient and seasoned Reference Data Engineer to become a crucial part of our team, focusing on refining and improving our reference data systems. This is a chance to significantly influence the efficiency of our trading.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 5+ years of professional experience with financial reference data management
  • Deep understanding of operational concerns around reference data management, including corporate actions and reconciliation
  • Proficient in Python for data manipulation and automation
  • Experience with relational databases for data storage and retrieval
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders
  • Critical thinker who takes ownership of projects and is comfortable challenging consensus

What you’ll be working on:

  • Participate in the design, development, and upkeep of reference data systems
  • Support the introduction of new markets and products through data collection, implementation, testing, and system upgrades
  • Manage the acquisition and oversight of trading data from exchanges
  • Utilize domain-specific expertise to maintain the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of reference data
  • Take ownership and proactively propose enhancements for the reference data infrastructure
  • Simplify the request process for new market and product inclusions
  • Implement comprehensive automation for corporate actions
  • Advance the trade reconciliation process
  • Oversee data in non-PROD environments by adding UAT instruments, streamlining data sync from PROD, and resolving data issues
  • Prepare and manage compliance reports for orders, fills, end-of-day positions, price limits, and trading boundaries
  • Provide high-quality data solutions efficiently, while adhering to best practices
  • Collaborate with DevOps and support teams on various projects

This position encompasses the entire data lifecycle, from requirements and design to implementation and production releases. Strong communication skills are vital. The annual base salary range for this position is $150,000 to $225,000 depending on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and relevant skill set. The position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
