About the role

Genesis brings together AI research, simulation, and robotics to build general-purpose robots that can work in the real world. Our mission is to unlock unlimited physical labor.

To get there, we need exceptional people. And the way we hire them matters: every interaction tells candidates something about how we work.

You’ll make our recruiting process run smoothly, from the first interview to the handoff into onboarding. Complex calendars, multiple time zones, last-minute changes, candidates with competing offers: you’ll bring clarity and momentum to all of it.

You’ll also help improve the operation as we grow. When something creates friction, you’ll be close enough to spot it and empowered to fix it.

What you’ll own

  • Keeping interviews moving. Coordinate interviews across teams and time zones, manage complex interview loops, and resolve scheduling conflicts before they become delays.

  • Making candidates feel looked after. Be a reliable point of contact for scheduling, preparation, and logistics. Make sure every candidate knows what happens next.

  • Owning the onsite candidate experience. Welcome candidates, prepare interview rooms, coordinate interviewers, and keep the day running smoothly. Be present and available throughout their visit, handling last-minute changes and making every candidate feel expected and looked after.

  • Keeping the process accurate. Maintain clean records in Ashby, keep interview plans and candidate stages up to date, and follow up on missing feedback with recruiters and hiring managers.

  • Making the operation better every week. Spot recurring bottlenecks, improve templates and scheduling workflows, and introduce practical automations that save time.

  • Connecting recruiting to onboarding. Partner with People and Operations to make the transition from accepted offer to first day clear and well coordinated.

You’ll thrive here if

  • You’ve coordinated recruiting, complex schedules, events, or other operations where timing and attention to detail matter.

  • You can manage several moving pieces at once and keep people informed when priorities change.

  • You communicate clearly and warmly. Your messages make the next step obvious.

  • You take ownership: you notice what needs doing, follow through, and close the loop.

  • You’re comfortable learning new tools and finding better ways to handle repetitive work.

  • You handle candidate information with care and discretion.

Bonus points

  • You’ve used Ashby or another applicant tracking system.

  • You’ve supported technical recruiting or worked in a fast-growing startup.

  • You’ve coordinated across European and US time zones.

  • You’ve built a scheduling workflow, useful template, or small automation that made a team faster.

The offer

  • Competitive base salary plus meaningful equity.

  • An on-site role, with occasional flexibility to work from home when needed.

  • The chance to shape the candidate experience and recruiting operations behind a frontier AI and robotics team.

Genesis is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome people with different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
