About Assembled

Great customer support requires human agents and AI in perfect balance, and Assembled is the only unified platform that orchestrates both at scale. Companies like Canva, Etsy, and Robinhood use Assembled to coordinate their entire support operation — in-house agents, BPOs, and AI — in a single operating system. With AI Agents that resolve cases end-to-end, AI Copilot for agent assistance, and AI-powered workforce management that optimizes both human and AI capacity, Assembled helps teams deliver faster, better service while making smarter decisions about how to staff and automate. Backed by $71M from NEA, Emergence Capital, and Stripe, we're building the platform that makes AI and human collaboration actually work.

The role

Recruiting is one of the highest-leverage functions at Assembled. The talent we bring on will define whether we win our category, and recruiting is at the center of that.

We're hiring a Recruiter to drive full-cycle hiring across our GTM and EPD organizations. You'll partner directly with our founders and execs to bring on the people who will shape Assembled's next phase. We're looking for someone who is equally credible sourcing and closing an Engineering Manager as they are an Account Executive. Beyond hiring, you'll help shape how we operate as an AI-native company, bringing AI into the recruiting process and raising the bar for how we use it across the function.

This is an in-person role, expected to be in our San Francisco office 5 days a week.

What you’ll do
  • Drive full-cycle recruiting for roles across both GTM (sales, customer success, marketing) and EPD (eng, product, design)

  • Be a thought partner to our hiring managers, running sharp intakes, calibrating on searches, and designing interview loops that consistently surface top talent

  • Build creative and proactive sourcing strategies for open roles

  • Own closing as a craft: building trust with candidates, navigating competing offers, and articulating why Assembled is the right bet

  • Use data to drive recruiting strategy throughout the funnel (pass-through rates, time to fill, sourcing effectiveness, etc)

  • Use AI to supercharge every stage of recruiting, from how we source to how we close.

What excites us
  • 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including time in-house with a startup

  • Track record of closing roles across both GTM and EPD, from individual contributors through senior leaders

  • Strong closing skills, especially in compensation conversations and selling the value of Assembled's equity

  • Sourcing expertise with a clear point of view on how to find and engage top passive talent

  • Experience using funnel data to diagnose and adjust recruiting strategy in real time

  • Genuine curiosity about how AI is changing recruiting and a track record of putting it into practice

Our U.S. benefits
  • Generous medical, dental, and vision benefits

  • Paid company holidays, sick time, and unlimited time off

  • Monthly credits to spend on each: professional development, general wellness, Assembled customers, and commuting

  • Paid parental leave

  • Catered lunches everyday (M-F) and fully stocked kitchen

  • 401(k) plan enrollment

The estimated base salary range for this role is $140,000 - $180,000 per year. The base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Stock options are provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.

We know great candidates don’t always meet every requirement listed in a job description. If the role excites you and you believe you can make an impact at Assembled, we encourage you to apply. We value diverse perspectives and are committed to building an inclusive workplace where everyone feels like they belong and has the opportunity to do their best work. We look forward to hearing from you!

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
