Purpose

As a High-Volume Production Recruiter, you’ll play a critical role in scaling our manufacturing workforce—owning full-cycle recruitment for key hourly and skilled-trade roles including production technicians, CNC machinists, CNC programmers, quality technicians, and metrology specialists. You’ll partner directly with production leadership to anticipate workforce needs, build proactive pipelines, and ensure we consistently hire high-caliber talent to support our fast-growing manufacturing operations.

This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-output environment and can balance high-volume requisition loads with precision targeting for niche technical skills.

The Role
  • Own end-to-end recruiting for high-volume manufacturing and skilled-trade roles—including production technicians, CNC machinists, CNC programmers, welders/fabricators (if applicable), quality/inspection technicians, and metrology specialists.
  • Partner directly with production, manufacturing engineering, and quality leadership to define staffing needs, forecast hiring demand, and align on recruiting strategies.
  • Develop and maintain high-volume candidate pipelines using a mix of sourcing channels including job boards, LinkedIn Recruiter, industry networks, vocational schools, referrals, and community/career-fair partnerships.
  • Screen candidates for both technical competency and manufacturing environment fit, using structured interviews and skill-specific assessments where needed.
  • Drive a fast, consistent, and high-integrity hiring process, ensuring timely feedback, tight coordination with hiring managers, and rapid decision-making.
  • Deliver a strong candidate experience that reflects our culture, values, and commitment to talent quality—even at scale.
  • Track, analyze, and report hiring metrics, including time-to-fill, funnel conversion, source effectiveness, and pipeline health, to support continuous improvement.
  • Support workforce-branding initiatives, especially those targeting skilled trades and manufacturing talent pipelines.
Basic Qualifications
  • Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls
  • 5+ years of recruiting experience, with a strong focus on high-volume manufacturing, skilled trades, or technical hourly roles.
  • Demonstrated success hiring production technicians, CNC machinists/programmers, quality inspectors, and metrology/precision measurement technicians.
  • Experience recruiting in advanced manufacturing, aerospace/defense, automotive, robotics, or similarly technical production environments.
  • Proven ability to manage 20–40+ active requisitions while maintaining excellent candidate and hiring-manager communication.
  • Strong sourcing capabilities, particularly for hard-to-find skilled trades and passive technical talent.
  • Experience using ATS platforms (e.g., Greenhouse) and sourcing tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed Resume, industry job boards).
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and urgency in driving hiring processes forward.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence, advise, and gain alignment from stakeholders.
  • A clear bias for action—you move quickly, stay organized, and deliver in fast-changing environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Background in agency, RPO, or high-volume staffing environments focused on skilled trades or manufacturing.
  • Existing network or industry presence within CNC machining, precision manufacturing, quality/inspection, or metrology communities.
  • Experience building or scaling manufacturing hiring programs, pipelines, or community partnerships (e.g., trade schools, workforce development programs).

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
