Solace is a healthcare advocacy marketplace that connects patients and families to experts who help them understand and take charge of their personal health

About the Role

We’re building a team of exceptional Recruiter I talent to help us scale our clinical hiring process. We’re primarily hiring RNs and will expand into other healthcare professions in the future. This is a fast-paced, high-volume recruiting role that sits at the very top of the funnel. You’ll be conducting up to 24 Zoom interviews per day with warm inbound candidates, assessing basic eligibility, and scheduling qualified individuals for next-step interviews with Senior Recruiters.

This is not a traditional recruiting role. You’ll be qualifying warm leads and making a judgement call on whether or not they should move forward in the process. You’ll set the tone for every candidate’s first interaction with Solace and move with urgency to identify the right fit.

About Solace

Healthcare in the U.S. is fundamentally broken. The system is so complex that 88% of U.S. adults do not have the health literacy necessary to navigate it without help. Solace cuts through the red tape of healthcare by pairing patients with expert advocates and giving them the tools to make better decisions—and get better outcomes.

We're a Series B startup, founded in 2022 and backed by Inspired Capital, Craft Ventures, Torch Capital, Menlo Ventures, and Signalfire. Our fully remote U.S. team is lean, mission-driven, and growing quickly.

Solace isn't a place to coast. We're here to redefine healthcare—and that demands urgency, precision, and heart. If you're looking to stretch yourself, sharpen your edge, and do the best work of your life alongside a team that cares deeply, you're in the right place. We’re intense, and we like it that way.

What You’ll Do
  • Conduct 20–25 Zoom-based screening calls per day with inbound candidates (primarily RNs).

  • Assess key fit criteria including licensure, availability, and baseline qualifications.

  • Deliver a clear, compelling overview of the opportunity and what to expect next.

  • Schedule same-day or next-day interviews with Senior Recruiters.

  • Collaborate closely with senior team members to refine messaging and improve efficiency.

You’d Be Great for This Role If You:
  • Have 3–5 years of recruiting experience (agency, in-house, or both).

  • Are energized by high-output, high-ownership work. Each call is a new adventure for you.

  • Communicate clearly and warmly, especially on Zoom.

  • Thrive in an ever-changing environment and able to pivot quickly without time-loss.

  • You love hitting your numbers and have a proven track record of consistency.

  • Have strong professional judgment and can identify red flags or alignment issues within the first several minutes of the interview.

  • Are ambitious to grow and hungry to learn. You’re not here to coast.

  • Thrive in a strong, team-centered environment. We all win together. You’re good at what you do, but your ego gets checked at the door.

Who We Are

We are a team of ambitious individuals who are passionate about putting healthcare back into the hands of patients. At Solace, you will have a steep learning curve and an unparalleled opportunity to contribute to one of the fastest-growing healthcare startups in the U.S. The work you do here will have a noticeable and direct impact on the development of the company.

Applicants must be based in the United States.

Up for the Challenge?

We look forward to meeting you.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
