We are hiring a Reconciliation Specialist to partner with multiple venture capital firm to ensure the integrity of their General Ledger (GL) accounts in a dynamic fund accounting environment. The ideal candidate will have strong fund accounting experience with venture capital and the desire to work cross-functionally with our product, engineering, and operation teams.

The Reconciliation Specialist responsibilities will include:
- Perform daily reconciliation of GL accounts for venture capital fund transactions, ensuring precision and accuracy.
- Analyze and resolve complex discrepancies in fund accounting records, escalating significant issues to leadership promptly.
- Support and adjust portfolio company and investor accounts, maintaining high standards of accuracy.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements and recommend procedural enhancements to optimize fund accounting processes.
- Maintain and develop relationships with internal stakeholders and portfolio companies through clear, professional written and verbal communication.
- Document procedural changes and contribute to projects impacting the fund accounting team.
- Work independently with minimal supervision, proactively resolving issues and adapting to evolving fund requirements.
What You Have:
- Proven expertise in reconciling General Ledger accounts, ideally in a venture capital or fund accounting context.
- Strong understanding of fund accounting documents, including capital calls, distributions, and investment transactions.
- Ability to analyze and resolve discrepancies in financial records efficiently.
- Highly analytical with exceptional attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication for professional interactions with stakeholders and team members.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Have 3+ years of work experience with VC Fund Accounting teams.
- Have 2+ years of Venture Capital experience.
- Independent decision-making with a focus on effective problem resolution.
- Ability to adapt to changing processes and demonstrate transferable skills in a dynamic setting.
- Experience in venture capital fund accounting or private equity.
- Familiarity with fund administration or investment accounting software.
