The Opportunity:
Miris are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Realtime Solutions Engineer to join our company. This role is crucial in demonstrating the power and versatility of our developing spatial streaming service. You will be a hands-on builder, rapidly prototyping innovative and compelling real-time applications across various platforms, initially focusing on Unity, to showcase our platform’s capabilities and explore the art of the possible. This is a highly technical role that requires a strong understanding of 3D graphics, application development, and the ability to work with and extend an evolving SDK.
What You'll Do:
- Work closely with our engineering and product teams to design, develop, and implement a variety of proof-of-concept applications using our spatial streaming SDK, starting with Unity; including diverse use cases, such as sports spectator experiences, immersive movie trailers, e-commerce flows, and interactive product visualizations across a range of platforms
- Identify necessary SDK features for integration purposes and, where appropriate, contribute to the SDK by adding or extending functionalities to enable application requirements
- Work closely with the core engineering team to provide feedback on core performance and missing features from an application developer's perspective
- In time, work with customers to help develop these applications for real-world deployment
- Stay ahead of the curve on the latest developments in real-time 3D experiences, AR/VR, mobile development, and XR web technologies as our platform expands
- Polish and/or present technical demonstrations to internal and external stakeholders
What You'll Bring:
- Enthusiasm for compelling immersive experiences and polished UX
- Proven experience in developing real-time 3D applications, with a strong portfolio of projects
- Expertise in Unity development, including C# scripting, 3D graphics pipelines, and performance optimization
- Experience working with SDKs, and an understanding of what makes an application developer experience great to a 3rd party
- Solid understanding of 3D concepts, linear algebra, and real-time rendering
- Ability to quickly prototype and iterate on technical ideas, zero-to-one
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and creatively on technical challenges
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Bonus Points:
- Experience with mobile development (iOS, Android) and their respective development environments
- Games development experience
- Familiarity with graphics APIs like Metal, Vulkan, or WebGPU
- Experience with streaming technologies or mobile rendering
- C++ or Python
- Prior experience in a solutions architect, sales engineering, or developer relations role
- Experience in AR/VR development
