Minimum Requirements
- Responsible for quality operations across two divisions - Deco Automotive and P&F Tool and Die - and must be able to travel regularly between both locations to fulfill role responsibilities.
- University degree in Engineering or equivalent field
- Minimum 5-7 years working in a Quality related role
- 3-5 years' experience providing leadership to and growing a team
- Certification as a Quality Manager (CQM), Quality Engineer (CQE), Quality Auditor (CQA) preferred
- Strong knowledge and experience with 8D, issuing NCRs (internally and with suppliers)
- Strong Root Cause Analysis and problem-solving skills
- Experience developing and maintaining procedures, work instructions, and process flow documentation
- Strong working knowledge of 6-Sigma methodology (certification not required)
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure that all QA/QC policies and procedures are being followed consistently
- Manage internal and external non-conformances and verify effectiveness of corrective and preventative actions
- Maintain and improve QA department documentation (policies, WI, process flows, KPIs)
- Foster a culture of Continuous Improvement by driving PDCA methodology
- Work closely with other departments to complete in-depth investigations of customer complaints or when issues or trends are identified
- Make data-based decisions and develop and implement corrective action plans when working with vendors
- Manage all external and Interna QMS Audits
- Coach and empower QA team and assist them with individual development goals
Responsible for supervision of direct reports which includes interviewing, hiring, training, goal setting, evaluating performance, prioritization of work, salary administration, career development, and compliance with personnel, financial and safety policies. Represents the department to other groups in the company. - Represent P&F Tool & Die at the customers and suppliers

- Manages the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality assurance systems and activities to ensure CSR and worldwide regulatory compliance. Ensures appropriate training is conducted as needed throughout the organization to support these systems.
- Manages the development, validation, implementation and maintenance of quality control procedures and testing methodologies suitable for qualification and release of raw materials, intermediates and products.
- Provides technical and administrative guidance to QA personnel, and associated validation activities.
- Ensures that deadlines are met on time and within budget.
- Interfaces with other departments, consultants and marketing partners to ensure implementation of good business practices in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assists the Senior Management Team in establishing long-range organizational goals and strategies and directs the changes associated with achieving those goals.
- Evaluates QA/QC operating and training needs and develops specific measurable departmental goals and objectives. Develops plans to obtain goals.
- Prepares operating and capital budgets for areas of responsibility and managing budgets within approved plans and updates.
- Establishes quality and reliability standards by studying product and consumer requirements with other members of management and with production operators, technicians, and engineers
- Establishes in-process product inspection standards by studying manufacturing methods; devising testing methods and procedure
- Develops effective data collection and reporting systems to meet regulatory requirements, quality metrics and management information needs.
- Promotes continuous quality improvements within quality assurance areas and serving as a resource for members of other disciplines, encouraging involvement throughout the organization.
- Interfaces with Executive Management, Corporate Management and Customers.
- Represents the QA departments on key project teams and acts as direct QA interface with corporate compliance.
- Manages regulatory agencies during inspections and assists with responses to queries/deficiencies.
- Performs other related duties as assigned and as outlined in the expectations.
