ISO 9001:2015 | Manufacturing / Industrial Environment
We are seeking an experienced Quality Management System (QMS) Manager to lead and continuously improve our ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System and oversee Quality Department services. This is a high-impact role for a hands-on quality professional who enjoys ownership, cross-functional collaboration, and driving measurable improvements across products, processes, and suppliers.
As the QMS Manager, you will serve as the ISO Management Representative, ensuring ongoing certification, audit readiness, and compliance while leading corrective action efforts, supplier quality initiatives, and customer-facing quality activities.
Essential Functions
- ISO 9001 & Quality System Leadership
- Maintain and continuously improve the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System
- Update and control the Quality Manual, procedures, work instructions, and ISO-required forms
- Manage document control and records management for the QMS
- Plan, organize, and lead internal audits, third-party surveillance audits, and recertification audits
- Act as the Management Representative for external ISO audits
- PPAP, Inspection & Customer Requirements
- Prepare and submit PPAP documentation (Levels 1–4) as required by customers
- Provide dimensional inspection results and First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation
- Ensure ERP controls (P21) prevent shipment prior to required approvals
- Issue Certificates of Conformance (CofC) as requested
- Compliance & Regulatory Documentation
- Manage and maintain compliance documentation including:
- REACH, RoHS, Proposition 65
- Conflict Minerals (CMRT)
- TSCA, EU Waste Directive, and related regulations
- Ensure compliance documents are updated promptly as new revisions are released
- Compile and manage CMRT data representing at least 75% of supplier spend
- Non-Conformance & Continuous Improvement
- Lead material non-conformance, RMA, and customer complaint investigations
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions using structured methodologies (8D, 5-Why, etc.)
- Reduce repeat non-conformances through data-driven improvements
- Develop and maintain quality metrics, dashboards, scorecards, and trend analyses
- Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, and conduct performance reviews for assigned quality team members
- Participate in hiring and termination decisions for quality technicians
- Collaborate across departments to strengthen quality culture and accountability
Experience, Education and Skills
- Education / Experience:
- Bachelor’s or associate degree (Preferably Quality or Engineering related) or equivalent experience/training required.
- AAS in mechanical/Quality field or Quality Certification i.e., ASQ preferred.
- Experience or knowledge of in First article Inspection (FAI) and Production Approval Process (PPAP)
- Minimum 5 years of Product Returns/Quality Assurance experience required
- Licenses/Certificates:
- Formal ISO Internal Auditor training required.
- Skills:
- Experience ISO 9001:2015 (Current Standard) a must
- Experience of 3rd party audit inspections
- Experience or knowledge of First Article Inspection (FAI) and Production Approval Process (PPAP) a must
- Clear understanding of correction action processes; 8-D, 5-why, etc.
- Read schematics/diagrams/blueprints
- Knowledge of inspection tools and techniques.
- Good mechanical aptitude a must
- Strong interpersonal and both written and verbal communication skills
- Motivated self-starter with the ability to organize, prioritize, and schedule work assignments is required.
- Sound judgment and decision-making ability
- Logical problem-solving and analytical ability
- Team player who works productively with wide range of people
- Ongoing willingness to continue educational learning/training
- Physical Demands:
- Lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, assembly, installation & troubleshooting efforts of fluid power systems
