Energy Recovery, Inc. is seeking a qualified candidate for an immediate full-time job opening for the position of Quality Engineering Supervisor, with the Manufacturing Operations team in the San Leandro, CA facility. This position is responsible for leading shop‑floor quality execution, supervising 5 total quality control personnel, and owning quality performance data across manufacturing operations. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for ensuring NCMR discipline, supporting QMS compliance, and reporting quality performance to operations leadership. A suitable candidate will have prior experience in manufacturing quality leadership with strong hands‑on, data‑driven execution.

What Will You Do?

  • Lead day‑to‑day shop‑floor quality execution and supervise QC inspectors/quality support personnel
  • Ensure inspection plans, quality standards, and work instructions are followed consistently
  • Own the NCMR process including initiation, containment, tracking, and closure
  • Analyze quality data (scrap, yield, defect trends, Pareto) and identify improvement opportunities
  • Prepare and present quality performance metrics in operations reviews
  • Ensure quality data accuracy, consistency, and reporting discipline
  • Support internal and external audits and QMS compliance activities
  • Partner with Production, Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering on corrective actions
  • Reinforce quality discipline and accountability at the point of manufacture
  • Support continuous improvement efforts focused on scrap reduction and yield improvement
  • All other projects and duties as assigned

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality role
  • Prior experience supervising or leading quality inspectors or QC personnel
  • Strong knowledge of shop‑floor quality processes, inspections, and NCMR workflows
  • Proven ability to analyze and communicate quality data and trends
  • Experience supporting QMS execution and audit activities
  • Proficiency with ERP/MES systems and quality reporting tools
  • Ability to operate independently while partnering with cross‑functional teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Minimal travel required
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including standing, walking, and occasional lifting
