ATS has an exciting line of high-performance test systems that support the semiconductor industry around the world.

Advantest Test Solutions, Inc. (ATS) is looking for Quality Engineer to join our team in Lake Forest, CA. This individual will be driving quality improvements through quality issue closures and design/process reviews. The role requires a wide knowledge linked to the missions such as failure analysis, Data analysis, Quality assurance theories, electric/mechanical material, and good communication skills in muti functional teams.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Improving quality of processes, control documents, design of make parts to improve company product quality and customer satisfaction by handling issue cases from production, field and information from group companies.
  • Work with QC team on approval of the incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests and rejecting & returning unacceptable materials.
  • Monitor and analyze production and engineering processes for quality compliance.
  • Monitor in-process and final inspections.
  • Collaborate with operations department to develop and implement controls and improvements.
  • Responsible for processing Customer score cards, reviewing data, and customer score card reviews
  • Follow up with the suppliers, generate SCARS and perform periodical audits including processing Supplier surveys and maintaining survey data
  • Coordinating with the RMA/MRB Coordinator and participating in production material review board (MRB) activity and maintain performance of the process.
  • Using an issue case database and Power BI tool to secure access to all the issue cases, track status/summary of issues, and securing history of issue handling.
  • Patrolling production line and reviewing processes for any quality improvement opportunities.
  • Reporting to Quality Assurance manager.
  • Working in cross functional team to drive issue closure and necessary improvement.
  • All other duties as required and assigned.
Preferred Qualifications

Requirements, Education & Skills:

  • Residence in commuting range to our Lake Forest facility.
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in electrical and/or technology fields with more than 5 years’ experience in quality or engineering or R&D. 
  • Solid experience in failure analysis on electrical components is highly valued.
  • Knowledge in PCB/PCA production, Semiconductor production is preferred.
  • Effective and open-minded communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work in cross functional team.
  • Having mid-advance skills in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, Outlook, List, Power BI).
  • Motivated to improve your abilities in quality assurance area. 
  • Strong planning & organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines, with A “can do” work ethic with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Capable of working with minimal supervision and maintaining concentration on tasks.
  • Adaptable to changes in priorities keeping positive attitude.
  • Able to read/interpretate DWG/SPEC/Schematics.
  • May be required to lift up to 35 pounds.
  • This is a daily, onsite role at our Lake Forest, CA office.
