The BAE Systems site in York, Pennsylvania is seeking a Quality Engineer in support of Combat Mission Systems operations on the 1st Shift. In this role as a Quality Engineer, you will develop, modify, apply, and maintain quality evaluation and control systems and protocols in a fast paced, heavy manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for ensuring requirements are met throughout the assembly and final operations processes on the AMPV Value Stream.
Please note: This position supports the 1st Shift, 6 AM to 3:30 M, on a 9/80 schedule.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Typically requires a Bachelors degree in an engineering or technical discipline with at least two (2) years of related experience, or the overall equivalent;
  • Requires a solid understanding of Quality Assurance / Quality Control fundamentals and principles;
  • Experience operating within ISO 9001 standards;
  • Strong background in problem solving techniques and analysis (A3, DMAIC, etc);
  • Proficiency in standard and industry related software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database applications;
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills;
  • Able to support 1st Shift.


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Knowledge of IUID requirements per MIL-STD-130N;
  • Experience working in a quality program in support of government contracts, preferably DoD, DFARS;
  • Experience conducting layered process audits;
  • Experience with TipQA software and I-Guides software.


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $70735 - $120250
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
