Job Description
The Quality Engineer will assist members of the Quality and Engineering, Rides and Shows teams in the overall maintenance operations and sustainment of attractions through quality assurance, quality control, record keeping, filing, auditing, training, and incident analysis and function within and outside of the Technical Services Department.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for driving quality initiatives, including analyzing requirements, modeling, interpreting specifications, interfacing with suppliers, collaborating with teams, validating sub-systems, verification and demonstration, and providing support for testing
• Work with Rides & Shows to review risk assessments while pursuing action items to ensure safety, compliance and reliability
• Understanding of discrepancy reporting methods, disposition, and recovery processes
• Provide timely communications on significant issues and initiate RCCA & execute CAPA
• Review design/quality documents for adherence to standards, UPR specs, and state regulations
• Review design documents for manufacturability and interface with suppliers and OEMs to ensure successful fabrication
• Streamline internal QMS and engineering processes using lean methodology and tools
• Serve as liaison between Quality Control team and Engineers
• Interpret data for senior leadership and manage expectations at all levels
• Perform other duties as assigned
This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite. Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, physical sciences or related from an accredited university or college, or equivalent education and experience
• Minimum 1 year experience working with Quality Management Systems
• Proficiency with RCCA and CAPA, troubleshooting and problem solving
• Willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays with short notice (comp time provided) • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Strong technical aptitude and analytical skills, including engineering tools and systems
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to guide and influence others, and strong team player
• Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of employees, management, suppliers and OEMs

• Experience in a regulated environment
• Ability to learn, interpret and apply codes and standards for theme park operations and maintenance, including ASTM F24, ANSI, ASME, AWS, ASNT, Cal-OSHA • Ability to investigate and learn Reliability and Predictive Maintenance Engineering concepts
• Demonstrated ability to work independently under pressure; proactive thinker/self-starter
• Experience working in a fabrication, machining and/or assembly environment
• Experience working in a union environment
• Previous quality engineering experience
