QUALITY ENGINEER (Contract) - EL SEGUNDO, CA

As a Quality Engineer, you will oversee aircraft conformity documentation, maintain inspection schedules, and coordinate with airworthiness representatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and support our Sr. Director, Quality in responding to FAA data requests.

This is a full-time onsite opportunity based out of our El Segundo, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage records keeping and document package collation for all forms of documentation and reporting pertaining to aircraft conformity (quality records).
  • Maintain the conformity inspection schedule for parts, kits, documentation, and test articles.
  • Assist with coordinating operations of Designated Airworthiness Representatives (DARs) and Designated Engineering Representatives (DERs) to complete inspections and paperwork.
  • Support our VP of Certification with regards to responding to data requests made by the FAA.
  • Collaborate with cross functional partners within the organization such as Supply Chain, Program Management, Manufacturing, and more.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering discipline
  • 2 years of experience working in supplier/quality documentation or schedule management
  • Strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering discipline
  • Experience working in a startup environment
  • Experience in Aerospace Quality Management, or other related field
  • Project or office management experience

The posted salary range reflects the potential base pay for this role, adjusted to account for varying geographic markets. Final compensation will be based on factors such as your location, job-related skills, experience, and internal alignment, including equity and benefits.

  • Salary: $35.00 - $50.00
