Quality Control Supervisor - Long Beach, CA

The Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for the company's quality control operations.  Responsible for organizing and execution of all inspection activities for manufacturing and supply chain and ensuring quality processes and standards are in place, followed, and driving continuous improvement. 

What you’ll do: 

Primary Responsibilities:  

• Organizes the QC team and ensure timely and productive IQC, IPQC, and FQC. Perform inspections as needed. 

• Works closely with production, engineering, and R&D teams to ensure that quality control considerations are communicated. 

• Ensures manufacturing production lines generate consistent suitable outputs of products. 

• Organizes and improves the inspection process to ensure high-quality goods. 

• Organizes, implements, and maintains quality control procedures and processes as needed. 

• Takes responsibilities for training QC inspectors. 

• Identifies appropriate measurement and test equipment (M&TE) tools for mechanical inspection as well as functional, electronic and other types of inspection. 

• Conducts regular internal QC audits to ensure compliance and adherence to the company’s rules and procedures.  

• Communicates problems in a timely manner, and report  quality data.  

• Maintains a system for monitoring and evaluating QC data and report findings to senior management. 

• Generates Deviation, NCMRS, Assists with Non-Conforming Material Control Program; communicates with other teams regarding quality issues and corrective action. 

• Responsible for the on-time Calibration of all QC equipment.  

• Performs other duties as assigned. 

What you need to know: 

Experience/Skills/Education: 

Required: 

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Supervisory role 

• 2 years minimum QC or related experience required, preferably in the medical device, pharma or cosmetic industry. 

• Experience in manufacturing environment 

• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem solving skills 

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high quality work 

• Ability to read blueprints. 

Desired: 

• Previous experience in production or operations preferred 

• Working knowledge of GMP and/or ISO 13485 preferred 

• Medical device or cosmetic industry experience

(Base Pay Range: $80,000 - $105,000/annually)

An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs.
