The Quality and Continuous Improvement (CI) Supervisor is responsible for developing and maintaining Quality Management and Continuous Improvement (CI). The QC Supervisor will perform quality-assurance, to include material (extrusions, glass, hardware) inspections, testing products, performing in-process and final product audits, and improving processes by eliminating root causes of defects. The Quality & CI Supervisor will participate in committees that have an impact on quality and CI. The Quality and CI supervisor will ensure compliance with all active industry certifications, such as SGCC and AAMA.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Design, implement, and update quality control systems and procedures.
- Create and maintain quality standards and specifications.
- Develop and implement quality assurance plans.
- Ensuring that documentation meets regulatory requirements.
- Conducting regular audits of processes, products, and systems to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
- Maintaining accurate records of quality procedures, audits, and findings.
- Monitor production processes and product testing to identify potential issues.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address quality issues, improve processes, ensure quality goals are met.
- Analyze data to prepare various records, reports and presentations on quality performance and issues.
- Communicating quality issues and recommendations effectively to all levels of the organization
- Monitor production processes and product testing to ensure products & materials meet quality specifications and standard work methods are followed as well as identifying any issues.
- Oversee daily water tests on randomly selected windows.
- Responsible for managing testing equipment.
- Identify and investigate any quality issues to identify root causes and develop corrective or preventative actions to ensure issues are addressed and resolved.
- Work closely with Shift Supervisors and Engineers to resolve specification issues.
- Train production teams in quality and process control to maintain high quality standards.
- Follow the performance KPI’s as Yield, Uptime and Flowrate.
- Collaborate on specific projects related to capacity increase.
- Development of device scopes for process improvement.
- Identify the causes of the issues impacting negatively on the KPIs.
- Use engineering tools and techniques such as TPS (8 wastes), DMAIC, 8D, and DOE.
- Oversee the Training System using the Technical Center.
- Oversee the Continuous Improvement programs (Kaizen, Cost Optimization, Workshops)
- Complies with all safety rules, including performing duties while wearing proper PPE.
- Performs other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position may require some lifting to 25lbs unassisted, walking, and standing for long periods of time.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a warehouse/production environment, and offsite jobs with less than 15% of the time in an office setting.

QualificationsREQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Education: B.A. in related field or equivalent experience
Experience: 3 years of quality control or process engineering experience is preferred. Window or Glass industry experience strongly preferred.
Computer Skills: MS Word & Excel, and Outlook
Technical Skills: Good knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing (TPS, SMED, 5S). knowledge of FMEA, MSA, SPC, 8D.
