Leidos Maritime System Solutions (MSS) is seeking a Quality Assurance/Configuration Manager to provide system and process baselines for all program applications, deliverables and components as well as conduct formal software builds and installation on baselined system.

The QA/CM effort supports a growing, fast-paced engineering research, development, testing and evaluation team at Naval Information Warfare Center, Pacific.  The selected candidate will be part of a world-class team responsible for development, manufacture and test of electro-mechanical devices for use with UUVs and other undersea systems and maritime mission applications. This individual will work closely with the government-industry engineering teams through all project phases. Work may involve prototypes, small quantity proof of concept, and low-rate initial production systems.

This mid-grade position requires the candidate to hold a Secret Clearance.

Primary Responsibilities

All responsibility elements require strong verbal and written communication skills.

Process:

  • Demonstrated technical expertise and applications relevant to undersea sensors, subsystems, systems, including utilization of marine engineering principles, concepts, and applications.
  • Address process alignment across engineering disciplines and program phases.
  • Document and maintain end-to-end processes for product development, peer review, change control, test and engineering release activities
  • Develop processes for tracking Configuration Items including customer provided items
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of a Configuration Management plan, Quality Management Plan, Configuration Management and Document Management procedures, Quality Assurance Procedures.
  • Develop and implement technical quality assurance and control systems.
  • Define, specify, and implement standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision, accuracy, and reliability
     

Configuration Control:

  • Manage changes for non-software deliverables and technical drawings using programs collaboration tools, such as SharePoint
  • Manage oversight of software release processes
  • Authorize the release of software change-sets, processes, drawings and software configuration changes specified by management and other functional groups
  • Track all problems and changes in work products and report changes and current configuration
  • Prepare, maintain and inventory hardware, software and associated technical drawings for assigned projects
  • Facilitate Engineering Review Board and Configuration Control Board meetings
     

Reporting/Meetings

  • Provide monthly configuration and document metric reporting for management review
  • Facilitate Engineering Review Board and Configuration Control Board meetings
  • Record and maintain assessment and audit findings, minutes, and action items
  • Perform Configuration Status Accounting
  • Maintain status accounting records to ensure that current and historical configurations of products can be accurately determined throughout the product life cycle

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance, US Citizenship required

  • Team player with strong leadership skills
  • Knowledge of CMMI Level 3 processes

Pay Range:Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00
