Role Overview
The QA Specialist contributes to testing activities across
the full delivery and product management lifecycle within a large,
enterprise-scale initiative. This role focuses on ensuring solution quality
through structured testing practices, defect management, and close
collaboration with delivery and development teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute
to the development of test strategies, test plans, test cases, scenarios,
scripts, and regression suites
- Execute
test activities including accessibility testing, data testing, stress/load
testing, and functional testing
- Track,
reconcile, and manage system and functional defects identified during unit
and user acceptance testing
- Collaborate
with project managers, QA leads, and developers to ensure application
quality and alignment with delivery timelines
- Review
functional and design specifications to identify test requirements and
ensure complete coverage
- Identify
and escalate potential quality risks following defined QA processes
- Develop,
document, and maintain test artifacts including scripts, test data, and
validation rules
- Execute
manual and automated test cases and report results clearly and
consistently
- Support
and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions
- Review
user documentation and provide feedback to improve clarity and alignment
- Maintain
defect logs and facilitate defect triage and prioritization sessions
- Prepare
realistic test data sets that reflect real-world usage scenarios
- Create
and execute database queries to extract and validate test data
- Facilitate
test plan and test case reviews with cross-functional stakeholders
Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements
- 8+
years of quality assurance experience, including leading QA efforts and
managing defect tracking through collaborative tools
- Experience
across all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Knowledge
of version control systems on one or more platforms
- Strong
analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
- Ability
to understand complex systems and integrate QA processes into enterprise
environments
Desired Skills and Experience
- Experience
planning, organizing, and executing enterprise-level testing initiatives
- Knowledge
of structured application development and maintenance methodologies
- Experience
with automated testing tools and data query tools
- Hands-on
experience executing functional, non-functional, integration, performance,
and load testing
- Experience
supporting UAT and creating comprehensive testing documentation
- Familiarity
with enterprise applications, cloud-based solutions, and commercial
off-the-shelf platforms
- Strong
collaboration skills with a demonstrated ability to meet delivery
deadlines
