Role Summary

We are seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to design and implement automated testing solutions that improve product quality, reliability, and delivery speed. This role requires strong programming skills, hands-on test automation experience, and expertise in quality engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions.
• Build reusable automation frameworks and testing utilities.
• Develop API, integration, regression, and end-to-end tests.
• Partner with engineering teams to ensure quality throughout development.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Analyse test results and investigate defects.
• Improve automation coverage and testing efficiency.
• Support release and production-readiness activities.
• Define quality engineering standards and best practices.
• Evaluate emerging automation and AI-assisted testing technologies
  

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in test automation or quality engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python or JavaScript.
• Experience building automated testing solutions.
• Experience testing APIs and integrated systems.
• Knowledge of automation frameworks and testing tools.
• Experience with CI/CD and automated delivery processes.
• Strong analytical and debugging capabilities.
• Understanding of Agile development practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Selenium, Cucumber, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Experience building automation frameworks from scratch.
• Exposure to AI-assisted testing solutions.
• Experience testing cloud-native applications.
  

Location

This role is based in Hyderabad, Telangana at Vanguard India. Only qualified external applicants will be considered.
