Catalent Pharma Solutions is hiring a QA Assistant, Intern for multiple departments on our San Diego, CA team. Through guided mentorship, the Student Lab Intern program offers students a fun and stimulating environment to gain lab experience and exposure to pharmaceutical chemistry development.

**This is a PART TIME, PAID, YEAR-ROUND student internship, and all students are required to commit 15-20 hours per week (NOTE: bachelor’s degree graduates will not be considered). To be considered for this San Diego-based internship, you must be able to work on-site weekly**

The Role:

• Organize, file, and scan a variety of documents, including equipment files, controlled documents, training files and other miscellaneous documents.

• Close-out, scan and file certificates of analysis and test method packets.

• Assist in coordinating the archival of test method packets, logbooks, and notebooks.

• Maintain the organization of documents within the document control room

• As needed, manage document control e-mail requests, including assigning document numbers and issuance of notebooks, logbooks, forms, and test method packets.

• Assist with on-going quality improvement projects under supervision

• Other duties as assigned.

The Candidate:

• Must have attained a high school diploma/GED and be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in good academic standing with a major in life sciences (Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Biology). Bachelor’s graduates are not eligible for this role and therefore will NOT be considered 

• Candidates should be highly self-motivated, organized, and able to work as part of a team

• Availability to work 15-20 hours per week on-site during the hours of 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday (no exceptions)

• Housing assistance and/or relocation are NOT available for this role

• Physical Requirements: On an average day this position requires the ability to walk, sit and stand, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms at or above shoulder height and below waist height, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear, smell and lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision requirements including reading of written documents, visual inspection of materials and use of computer monitor screen frequently

Pay:

• The annual pay range for this position in San Diego, CA is $20/hour. The final salary offered to a successful candidate may vary, and will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, skillset, education, business needs, etc.  Catalent is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
