As a QA Architect within PNC's C&IB organization, you will be based in Dallas, TX
The QE Architect is responsible for defining enterprise-wide quality strategy, architecting scalable automation frameworks, and integrating continuous testing into Agile and DevOps pipelines. This role drives automation-first practices, ensures risk-based quality governance, and enables high-confidence releases through robust testing frameworks, tooling, and engineering excellence.
Responsibilities:
• Define and implement enterprise-wide quality engineering architecture aligned with business and technical objectives
• Establish and maintain comprehensive test strategies, frameworks, and quality gates across the SDLC
• Drive adoption of shift-left, continuous testing, and automation-first practices
• Define and execute a comprehensive automation strategy (UI, API, end-to-end, and regression testing)
• Mentor QE and automation engineers on frameworks, tools, and best practices
• Support teams in improving test coverage, efficiency, and overall quality maturity
Skills:
• Experience designing scalable automation frameworks and reusable components
• Exposure to automation reporting, dashboards, and visibility tools
• Experience in Quality Engineering, Test Automation, or QA Architecture roles
• Experience in Java or Python programming languages
• Familiarity with modern test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Cucumber, Playwright, or similar
Preferred:
• Hands-on experience with UI, API, and end-to-end automation frameworks
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and automated deployment pipelines
• Exposure to emerging QE technologies AI/GenAI, test optimization tools, etc.

  • Responsible for development and support of processes, practices and tools necessary to produce quality products/services and to manage risk.
  • Researches and recommends hardware and software purchases for software quality assurance program. Selects and implements formal QA methodologies.
  • Architects and implements agile testing practices and tools. Evaluates, recommends and implements enterprise-wide defect-tracking software.
  • Assists in planning and estimation of Quality Assurance support for new programs and projects. Conducts audits and reviews.
  • Supports Quality Assurance specialists on programs or projects. Conducts program reviews and complex process audits.
