What we are looking for:

As a QC/IO Specialist, you will be joining an innovative generative AI startup changing the future of filmmaking. The QC Specialist will report to the QC Supervisor, working closely with Production, and I/O teams. The QC/IO Specialist will be responsible for monitoring quality and delivery of localization and immersive video dubbing solutions across feature films, episodic series, and commercial content. This role involves thorough project review processes, ensuring high-quality deliverables meet technical standards, enabling the secure and efficient transfer of assets between clients, partners, and our studio, while adhering to established pipelines and specifications.

The ideal candidate will have experience with various NLEs and mastering systems, QC processes and procedures for post mastering workflows, be adept at using various data transfer tools and familiar with TPN Protocols and specifications. Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough reviews of project deliverables (incoming and outgoing), ensuring they meet technical standards (codecs, color space, resolution, frame rate, etc.).
• Identify and flag subjective errors to the creative and production teams (as needed).Work closely with Production Teams to align daily output with project timelines and delivery dates.
• Maintaining high standards of quality, focusing on the fine details of each project while understanding speed and efficiency is critical to our project deliverables.
• Ensure secure and efficient transfer of footage to and from clients and partners, adhering to specified pipelines and SOPs.
• Operate data transfer tools such as Aspera & Media Shuttle and asset databases like Shotgrid and AWS.
• Execute I/O workflows via CLI operations (AWS calls, bash, ffmpeg, etc)Escalate issues when necessary, keeping an open line of communication with your direct manager as well as project stakeholders.
• Maintain familiarity with TPN Protocols and ensure compliance with security standards for file sharing.
• Be part of a team that will potentially run extended hours, including shift work to cover a wider part of the day.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of QC  and IO experience within a post-production environment.
• Proficiency in industry software such as Nuke, and Resolve, etc.
• Knowledge of TPN Protocols and secure file sharing practices for production assets.
• Familiarity with CLI operationsStrong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Capability to manage tight deadlines and work under pressure.
• Ability to work early/late shifts as this department will be required to cover outside normal business hours.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a larger collaborative teamStrong organizational & communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Our interview process is three rounds with some casual Zoom (or in-person) coffee in between to get to know each other: 

Recruiting Screen: 30-45 minute call with our recruiting team (We want to discuss your interests and motivations as well as the practical details and make sure that Flawless would be a good fit for you)

Hiring Manager / Behavioral: 60 minutes onsite or virtual with our HM. Discussing how you work and how you have approached different experiences in the past. We want to make sure that our environment will be right for you and that you will enjoy working here.

Team Interview: 45-60 minutes digging into your past experience. Primarily asking you to talk through your past work and experience within the industry.
