We care deeply about building a company where smart, driven individuals can grow, feel supported, and do the best work of their careers. Our people aren't just part of our success—they're the reason for it.

About the role

We are looking forward 2-3 mid-level QA/UAT Testers to join our newly formed QA team. You will be embedded within product development pods, responsible for hands-on testing of features from development through user acceptance. This role is central to our quality strategy, which emphasizes developer, accountability, automation, and human validation at every stage of the pipeline.

What You'll Do

  • Execute manual and exploratory testing across assigned product pods
  • Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) on new features and releases in staging and production-refresh environments
  • Run post-deployment smoke tests in production to verify release health
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and developers to define acceptance criteria and test scenarios
  • Create, maintain, and execute detailed test cases and test plans
  • Identify, document, and track defects through resolution, ensuring clear reproduction steps
  • Validate bug fixes and regression scenarios prior to release
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release readiness reviews
  • Help build and refine QA processes, checklists, and standards as the department grows
  • Contribute test data requirements and assist with test data management across environments
  • Partner with the engineering team to support the transition toward automated UI and API testing

Qualifications

  • 1-3 Years of Experience in Property Management Business Processes (Accounting, Maintenance, Leasing, etc)
  • Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, or similar)
  • Comfortable testing web applications across browsers and devices
  • Experience working in agile / scrum environments embedded within development teams
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with sharp attention to detail
  • Clear, professional communication skills for working across pods and with stakeholders

Even Better If You Have

  • 3–5 years of hands-on software QA or testing experience
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies
  • Experience writing and executing test plans, test cases, and regression suites
  • Experience in property management, real estate technology, or SaaS platforms
  • Exposure to API testing tools (Postman, REST clients) or basic automation frameworks
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows
  • Understanding of TDD (Test-Driven Development) concepts and feature flags
  • Experience with database queries (SQL) for test data validation

What We Offer

  • The opportunity to help build a QA practice from the ground up at a growing company
  • Direct collaboration with product, engineering, and leadership teams
  • A culture that values quality, continuous improvement, and developer accountability
  • Competitive compensation and benefits

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
