Job Description
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of 15+ QA and SDET engineers focused on automation, performance, and quality at scale.
- Define, implement, and continually improve QA processes, standards, and best practices across web, mobile, and API platforms.
- Drive end-to-end test automation strategy using tools such as WebdriverIO, Selenium, Cypress, and other modern frameworks.
- Advocate for and implement testing at all layers — UI, service, performance, and chaos testing.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, DevOps, and release teams to support quality gates in the CI/CD pipeline.
- Own and evolve our automation frameworks to increase test coverage, reduce maintenance costs, and improve execution speed and reliability.
- Champion Agile/SAFe methodologies, and instill a quality-first mindset across product delivery teams.
- Lead risk assessments, test planning, and execution for high-visibility releases.
- Oversee tooling integration across test, build, and deployment pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of technical learning and innovation.
- Drive cross-platform testing strategies for web and mobile applications (responsive design, iOS/Android).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in software testing and automation with a strong focus on modern web and service-oriented architectures.
- 5+ years of experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks using tools like WebdriverIO, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial role, with a track record of building and mentoring teams.
- Expertise in testing REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Strong programming and scripting skills (JavaScript preferred; Java/Python a plus).
- Experience with CI/CD systems like Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Working knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience in performance testing, chaos testing, and production validation.
- Solid understanding of web and mobile testing techniques, device/browser matrix planning, and responsive testing.
- Experience in FinTech or lending platforms is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with SAFe or other Agile scaling frameworks.
- ISTQB or equivalent testing certifications.
- Exposure to mobile test frameworks like Appium or Detox.
- Cloud-native testing experience (e.g., AWS, Docker, Kubernetes-based systems).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills — able to influence at all levels of the organization.
