As a QA Engineer for the UI Tech team on VALORANT, you will work directly with engineers, producers, and UI/UX developers to support testing activities across all disciplines for the development of in game UI modals. You will collaborate with teams outside of UI Tech to support their understanding of how UI elements work, support in test activity understanding, and assist in defect triage discussions. You will ensure the execution of test coverage assigned to you within your product space by conducting whitebox test activities yourself or from assistance from remote testers. You will manage test and defect data and report regularly on product quality for areas you are assigned to.  

Responsibilities

  • Triage, monitor, and prioritize the defect database
  • Improve on methods of test execution for features you are assigned
  • Continuously give feedback on content and code being developed
  • Collaborate with different disciplines in order to push quality upstream
  • Assist in authoring of test plans  and execute test coverage

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance
  • Experience designing and executing test plans for UI elements in games or in game content
  • Experience managing components of a defect database
  • Experience tasking remote testers for test execution
  • Experience working embedded with multidisciplinary teams on Agile Product Development
  • Experience creating custom reports on test coverage and defect data

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience testing UI modals and components 
  • Experience working with Unreal Engine 4 or 5
  • Experience working with Blueprint or similar visual scripting tools
  • Development experience across multiple platforms (Console and  PC)
  • Preferred Licenses/certifications:
    • ISTQB Foundation Level
    • ISTQB Agile Tester or ICAgile Agile Testing (ICP-TST) 
    • ISTQB Expert Level
    • ICAgile Test Expert (ICE-AT)
