About the RoleWe’re looking for a QA Engineer to support one of our enterprise clients in the Accounts Receivable and Payments space. This role involves owning end-to-end quality across agile product squads. You’ll work closely with engineers, product managers, and other QAs to enhance automation coverage, support exploratory testing, and elevate the team’s overall quality discipline. The ideal candidate has strong experience with Playwright, a good understanding of Ruby on Rails, and a collaborative, ownership-driven mindset.
Key Responsibilities- Own and maintain E2E test automation in Playwright
- Collaborate with engineers to review PRs and assess unit/integration test coverage
- Conduct manual exploratory testing across features and workflows
- Identify and document bugs, usability issues, and edge cases
- Contribute to QA strategy, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies
- Monitor CI pipelines and triage failures related to QA automation
Must-Have Skills:
- 3+ years of QA experience in web application testing
- Background in API testing (e.g., Postman, REST Assured)
- Hands-on experience with Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript)
- Strong understanding with Ruby (on Rails) codebases (comfortable reading and debugging)
- Strong understanding of CI/CD workflows and QA ownership in agile environments
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Familiarity with Cypress and Selenium (maintenance or legacy experience)
- Experience in FinTech or payments systems
- Knowledge of exploratory and shift-left testing approaches
