The QA Engineer III will find bugs, defects, and regressions. This role will also design, implement, execute, and debug test cases and/or automated test scripts. Validate and document completion of testing and development. Verify fixes and helps ensure successful releases by planning and executing test activities for exploratory and regression testing.

Essential Tasks
- Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Develop testing plans and testing scenarios in accordance with the functional requirements and detail technical specifications provided by the design team to ensure code generated by the development team conforms to the specified requirements
- Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities within a cross-functional development team
- Design, develop, and execute test cases and/or automation scripts using provided tools
- Identify, record, document, and track bugs
- Perform regular regression, exploratory, and system testing as required
- Monitor and maintain bug backlogs for accuracy
- Maintain and update test instances as necessary
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Must have strong diagnostic skills to properly test software and measure the quality of the product
- Must have a technical background to be able to create proper testing scenarios from the functional requirements and detail specifications
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and writing SQL queries
- Experience with QA testing on ERP type applications/systems
- Familiarity with administrative software for higher education and experience with automated testing tools are a plus
- Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language a plus
The pay range for this position is $62,000-$77,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, geographic location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus in addition to a full range of benefits.
