We’re looking for a skilled QA Automation Engineer to build robust, scalable automated tests for web and backend applications.

The QA automation engineer will be ensuring the reliability and accuracy of Lusha’s B2B data platform. By developing scalable automated tests and integrating them into CI/CD, this role enhances software quality, efficiency, and reliability. This directly supports Lusha’s mission of delivering accurate and dependable data solutions, maintaining its competitive edge and commitment to innovation.
What will you be responsible for?
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using the Page Object Model (POM) to ensure modularity and reusability.
- Implement automated UI test scripts for web applications using Playwright (TypeScript).
- Develop and maintain backend API test automation
- Ensure robust end-to-end testing strategies for React-based applications by designing efficient, maintainable test suites.
- Work closely with developers and DevOps teams to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.).
- Identify, document, and track software defects, working closely with development teams to resolve issues.
- Optimize test execution time and improve framework performance continuously.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging automation technologies.
Requirements
Here’s what we need from you
Must-Have Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in test automation.
- Strong expertise in Playwright automation using TypeScript / JavaScript for UI & API testing.
- Hands-on experience with backend API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, and pytest.
- Proficiency in writing modular, reusable test scripts that improve framework maintainability.
- Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure, etc.)
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for test failures and automation bottlenecks.
- Familiarity with Git version control and working in Agile teams.
- A team player with high motivation and a proactive approach.
- AI-savvy: comfortable working with AI tools and staying ahead of emerging trends
Nice-to-Have Requirements
- Experience with other automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, etc.).
- Experience in contract testing (e.g., Pact) and API schema validation.
Experience working with Docker and containerized test environments.
