Test the live ARK game to find and document bugs, exploits, and issues; verify player-reported problems; write reproducible steps; and collaborate with support, community, and development teams to investigate and resolve issues.
Responsibilities:
- Work with a small team of individuals to proactively find bugs, issues and exploits in the live game.
- Coordinate between customer support, community and development teams to analyze, verify and act on bugs, issues and exploits reported by players.
- Identify issues during development and write clear and concise steps and descriptions to reproduce.
- Collaborate effectively with various teams including QA, Production, Art, and Design to investigate problems.
Requirements:
- Deep knowledge and passion for ARK
- Proficiency using live game admin commands effectively to carry out tasks.
- Comfortable working in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience testing on console platforms.
- Hours around this time: 3pm PST - 12am PST and possible overlap with other shifts.
Pluses:
- Minimum of 1 year cumulative paid game development experience as a QA Analyst or Game Moderator.
- Experience with Bug Reporting software such as Jira, or knowledge of QA Workflow.
- Experience working with Unreal Engine 5.
- Any shipped title credited as QA Analyst/Game Moderator/Community Support/Customer Service.
