Python ML Engineer
Location: Onsite - Glendale, CA
Description:
Build and develop custom software for parsing and extracting healthcare information from raw patient charts and other sources using natural language processing, machine learning, and other techniques. Transform raw data into meaningful information using Python and visualization software. Extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasets. Apply feature selection algorithms to models predicting outcomes for healthcare use. Build Hedis Quality Measure parsers, including HBD, COA, BCS, GSD, and more. Work with the Clinical Support Team in ongoing work including regression testing, feature development, and product roadmap planning. Analyze, manipulate, or process large sets of data using statistical software. Participate in agile software team including daily scrum meetings, sprint planning, backlog refinement, retro, and review. Perform pair programming, peer reviews, and utilize best practices. Analyze data to identify business problems that can be addressed and recommend data-driven solutions. Interpret and report data findings. Utilize tools and technologies including Python, S3, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, SQL, and APIs.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field plus one (1) year of Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or related experience: developing, building, integrating, and maintaining the software applications used to move data from multiple sources into databases for the healthcare software products (HEDIS, RISK, IVA, etc.); setting up physical data models, including all aspects of database configurations, such as indexes, table spaces, table partitions, table constraints and relationships; creating and implementing procedures to validate, process, and refine project datasets; transmitting data utilizing SQL Server platform; performing ad hoc analyses against data load validation databases as well as production databases; executing data conversion processes to enable data translations and integrations from third-party platforms; developing ETL pipelines utilizing the Python programming language and deploying ETL pipelines to Amazon Web Services (AWS) applications; importing raw text and XML data receipts from clients into table structures; and utilizing Python, Lambda, and SQL. Telecommuting permissible.

Salary: $95,400/year
